2.You will ignore the bell and go somewhere quietly to calm your friend down.
你将不顾上课铃声而到一个安静的地方让你的朋友镇静下来。

1）ignore: v.(ignored;ignoring)不理睬；忽视
   ignorance n.  无知；愚昧
   ignorant adj.无知的；愚昧的；不知道的（常与of,in连用）
He completely ignored all these facts as if they never existed.
他完全忽视了这些事实,好像它们根本不存在似的。
The girl's ignorance is surprising.
这个女孩的无知令人吃惊。
He is ignorant of the rules of football match.
他对足球比赛的规则一无所知。

2）calm v.(使)平静；(使)镇定
        adj.平静的；镇静的；沉着的
The sea was calm after the storm.
It was difficult to calm down the football fans.
The mother calmed her child down.

词义辨析:calm/quiet/still/silent

calm:常用于气候、海洋风平浪静,也可指人的情绪,表示突发情况下表现镇静,冷静。
quiet:指没有吵闹声,没有噪音,强调声音很小,很低全然无声。
still:指完全无声音或不行动。
silent:指沉默,没有声音。

3.You will tell your friend that you are concerned about him/her and you will meet after class and talk then.
你可以告诉你的朋友你非常关心他（她）,下课后你们会见面交谈。
concern(concerned;concerned)
vt.（使）担忧；涉及；关系到

4.While walking the dog,you were careless and it got loose and was hit by a car.

在时间、条件、让步状语从句中,
when,while,as,whenever,as soon as
if,unless,even if, even thogh,though
①若主语和主句的主语一致；
②从句的谓语动词是be(am/is/are/was/were)时,从句的主语与be动词可同时省略。
Be careful while(you are)driving.
I will attend his wedding if(I am)invited.
Even if(I am)tired,I will finish the task.

*若从句的主语是it,谓语动词是be,则it与谓语动词be也可同时省略。
If (it is) possible,I can offer you more help.
When (it is) necessary,I will call you up.

句子解析

1.Or are you afraid……would you understand what you are going through?
你能明白你将经历什么吗？

1）go through 经历,经受（苦难,战争,疾病）；通过（法律,协议）；检查,查找
He was going through a hard time.
It was obvious that someone had gone through my desk.

2）go through & look through
look through 浏览；仔细查看
Look through the text and answer the question.
He looked through the computers and chose the cheapest one for me.

2.She and her family hid away for nearly twenty-five months before they were discovered.
她和她的家人躲藏了两年多之后才发现。

1）hid(hid;hidden)v. 躲藏；隐藏
Teddy hid himself away in a big box.
The toys were hidden away under the bed.

2）before的用法:
①在……之前就……
Mary turned off the computer before her mother came in.
②尚未……就……（常与情态动词can/could连用）
She had left the classroom before I could have a word with her.
③不知不觉就……,还未弄清楚就……
The holiday ended before I knew it.
④It was/will be+时间段+before……
It was ten days before he came back.
⑤It was not/will not be+时间段+before……
It will not be long before we got used to the new school life.
⑥否则；以免

1）set down放下；记下；写下（=write down）
He entered the house and set down his luggage.
The police asked him to set down what he had seen in a report.

2）a series of 一系列；一连串
My summer vacation was spoiled by a series of things.
我的暑假被一系列的事情给毁掉了。
He was tired but still had a series of meetings to go to.

3）连词as的用法:
①“像……一样”
When in Roome,do as Romans do.
②“当……时候”
As a child,he liked playing football on the playgroud.
③“虽然,即使……”
Young as he is,he knows a lot.
④“随着……”
