once upon a time  意为“从前”，经常用在故事的开头，表示事前发生在很久以前。
Once upon a time,there lived an old lady there.
很久以前，那里住着一个老太太。

2.She decided to go for a ride in the forest.
decide 是动词，意为“决定，下决心",其主要用法如下：1）其后接名词或代词，表示”对....做出决定“。如：
He can't decide anything now.
他现在还不能作出任何决定。
2）其后接不定式，构成decide to do sth.表示”决定做某事“。如：
They decided to build a new school.
他们决定建一所新学校。
3)其后接句子。如：
Let's first decide where we should go.
我们先决定一下应该到什么地方去。
4）其后接介词短语，构成decide on sth.表示”就某事做出决定".如：
Don't decide on important matters too quickly.
重要的事情不要匆忙做出决定。

decide的名词形式是decision,常用于短语make a decision,表示“做出决定”。

look around 意为“向四周看”，其后通常接名词或代词作宾语。如：
