2.I went there two years ago.
当句子中有ago时，一般用一般过去时。ago常用于某个时间段之后，且时间段前面不用介词，意思是“...以前”。如：

3.How long did it take to get there?
It takes sb. some time to do sth.意思是“花费时间做...”it为形式主语，真正的主语时动词不定式。如：
It took me four hours to drive there.
我驱车四小时才到那里。
It will take time a week to finish this work.

表示“花费”的词，除了take 外，还有spend与cost.
spend 是动词，意为“度过，花费”，其主语通常是人。它常用的搭配有：spend some time/money on sth.“在...上花费时间（金钱）；spend some time/money (in) doing sth.“花费时间（金钱）做某事”，其中in可以省略。如：
I spent two hours on this maths problem.
这道数学题花了我两个小时的时间。
They spent two years (in)building this bridge.
建造这座桥花了他们两年的时间。
cost 的主语通常是物或某项活动。如：
This computer cost me a lot of money.
这台电脑花了我很多钱。
take 的主语通常是it 或某项活动。It takes/took sb. some time to do sth.意思是“做某事花了某人多少时间”。如：
It took them three years to finish the programme.
他们用了三年时间才完成这个项目。
