情态动词can
情态动词有一定的意义，但无人称和数的形式上的变化；通常后接不带to的动词不定式，表示说话人的语气和情态。其否定式的构成是：情态动词+not(cannot=can't).
情态动词can的用法
本模块主要讲情态动词can 的用法，先看几个例句：
Ann can speak English.
They boy can count.
Lucy can't play the piano.
-Can they play basketball?
-Yes,they can.
-Can Susan dance?
-No,she can't.
(1)表示体力或智力上的能力。意为“能，会”。
I can't swim.
我不会游泳。
Can you finish this work this week?
你能在本周完成这项工作吗？
（2）表示客观可能性，意为“可以，可能”。
That big cinema can seat 2,000 people.
那家大电影院能做2,000人。
Temperature can reach 35 degree ℃ in the summer here.
这儿夏天的气温能达到35摄氏度。
（3）表示允许（和may意思相近），意为“可以”。
You can have the book when I have finished it.
这本书我看完了，可以给你。
-Can I go now?
-现在我能走了吗？
-Yes,you can.
-是的，你可以了。
（4）表示惊异、不相信等语气（用于疑问句、否定句或感叹句中），意为“会，可能”。
-Can she be English?
-她会是英国人吗？
-She can't be English.She must be Chinese or Korean.
-她不可能是英国人。她准是中国人或韩国人。
can和be able to的比较
can和be able to的相似点：can和be able to都有表示“能力”的意思。
I can get best score in every match.
我能在每次比赛中得最高分。
I'd love to be able to sing like you.
我要是能像你那样唱歌就好了。
Can 和be able to的区别：can 能用来表示人或事物的能力，而be able to只能用来表示人的能力。如：
Energy can move things.(只能用can)
①She can speak English.
她能说英语。（没有人称形式上的变化）
②Come and help us,if you can.
如果可以，就来帮我们吧。（通常情况下后接不带to的不定式，有时也不接不定式）
③Shanghai was a place where anyone could start a business.
上海是一个人人都能开始创业的地方。
He couldn't be a bad man.
他不可能是坏人。
④By climbing on the chair he was able to reach the window.
他爬到椅子上就够到窗户了。
⑤She'll be able to walk soon.
她很快就可以走路了。
(can没有将来时，但可以用will be able to,指某人某人将来有能力或某事将来可能发生，时间比较久）
⑥I haven't been able to phone my parents yet.
我还没能打电话给我父母。
(can没有完成时态，但可以用has/have been able to表示）
