It的用法及强调句型
由it引导的强调句结构：
It is(was)+被强调部分+that(who)+句子其他部分
注意：此结构强调的成分仅限于主语，宾语，介词宾语和状语。（强调人时用that和who/whom皆可）
It was she who/that had been wrong.
是她错了。（主语）
It was the girl whom/that I met just now.
我刚才遇见的就是这个女孩。（宾语）
It was Tom to whom the teacher had talked.
老师与其谈话的那个人是汤姆。（介词宾语）
It was on Monday night that all this happened.
所有这一切就是在星期一的晚上发生的。（状语）
注意：
1.强调句的一般疑问句句型：
Is/Was+it+所强调的部分+that/who/whom+其余部分？
Was it Tom that/who I saw yesterday here?
Was it at eight o'clock that you began to work?
2.强调句的特殊疑问句句型：
疑问词+所强调的部分+that/who+其余部分？
Where was it that you picked up the wallet?
Why was it that he couldn't answer the question?
3.名词性从句（宾语/表语从句）强调句的基本结构：疑问词（强调部分）+it is that+其它成分？
I just wonder what it is that makes him excited.
He is unwilling to tell me who makes him angry.
He is unwilling to tell me who it is that made him angry.
4.判断是否是强调句可把It is/was...that去掉，剩余部分如果是一个完整的句子就是强调句。
It was in the street that I met her father.
In the street I met her father.
It was because she was ill that they didn't ask her to do the job.
Because she was ill,they didn't ask her to do the job.
1)It was in 1945 that World War II ended.(强调句）
2)It was in 1945 when World War II ended.(定语从句）
3)It was a long time since I met you last.(时间状语从句）
5.若原句是not...until句型，在强调until部分时，要把否定形式放入被强调部分
He didn't leave until I returned.=It was not until I returned that he left.
I didn't realize she was a famous film star until she took off her dark glasses.
→ Not until she took off her dark glasses did I realize she was a famous film star.
→ It was not until she took off her dark glasses that I realize she was a famous film star.

典型例题分析：
1)It was last night(C)I saw the film Star Wars.
A who   B when   C that   D which
强调句的连词只有两个，that和who.当强调的部分是人，且为句子的主语时，才用who,其余用that.
2)It is ten years(A)he returned to Canada.
A that   B when  C since   D as
考点是连词用法。本题易误选为A。其实本句不是强调句。若是去掉It be...that还应是一个完整的句子。而本句去掉“It is...that,只剩下ten years he returned to Canada不成句。因此本句不是强调句。
